CLOSURE VS. ACCEPTANCE

What do you do when . . . .

your life is dreary as days without sun
and you know this is forever?
your body is broken, like pieces of bread
thrown out to the birds?
your mother’s plate is so full of your suffering
she cannot eat and disappears into another world?
your father’s dreams have vanished and you
feel the weariness in his eyes?

What do you do when the road is full of branches
and you can’t get through?
You realize that it will never get better than this.

You survive.
